and then came the moment. no clouds, new moon, and i could sleep in the next day. a colleauge of mine joined in and we took the wee spaceship and travelled into the night. enjoy the impressions!

the harvest moon

last night we had a super moon and a lunar eclipse and the moon was suppose to be turned to a ‚blutmond.‘ i had to jump into the little grey beast and get out of the city. honestly, i wasnt really impressed by the moon, but the fantastic overview of the starry sky was impressive and outstanding. attached a few impressions.

scouting the sternenpark

a few months ago i stumble across the term ’sternenpark.‘ it is an area in brandenburg where lightpollution is limited and in ideal conditions you should be able to see the milkyway. i was nervously waiting for the right moment. yesterday night i gave it a push, but when we arrived at the sternenpark it was to cloudy. luckily sometimes the cloudy layer lifted and we were able to see something. it wasnt my last trip to there. i hope you like the results!

stargazing

Brandenburg, nacht

i never felt an urge to go out looking at the stars. this was mostly because i grew up in a city and there were to few stars around here and i was fully happy to see them whenever i went on holidays. strangely the last weeks i felt a urge to get out of the city and into the dark. yesterday i was at the sydower fließ. it was still to close to the big city and there were to many clouds. nevertheless i managed to make a few shots. hope you like them.

Fuji gl690 at cwcg stahnsdorf

for a few days i am using the great fuji gl690 as a shooter. this time i went to a cemetery just outside berlins city limits. i used the great ektar 100 and developed the stuff at home. being lazy i dont buy my color developing kit regularly. this kit is double over its time best before date. hope you like the results.

eine freundin sagte mir sie würde ein radrennen in um berlin machen. ich dachte mir nur cool, das möchte ich schiessen. worum geht es?

Am Sonntag, dem 20. Juli 2014, kannst du mit Tausenden Frauen auf der ganzen Welt 100 Kilometer fahren. Bei diesem globalen Event kannst du alleine fahren oder dich einer der organisierten Touren anschließen. Diese werden überall stattfinden, und einige werden von Rapha geführt. Über 4.000 Frauen nahmen 2013 teil – dieses Jahr wollen wir versuchen, die Zahl zu verdoppeln.

a friend told me that she would participate in a bicycle race in and around berlin. my reaction was cool, i wanna shoot this! that’s what it’s all about:

On Sunday 20th July 2014, Rapha challenged women around the world to ride 100km, wherever they were. Thousands took part in this shared experience, and what is fast becoming a global movement.

Thank you to all those who contributed, either by riding 100km on the day, or by helping to organise one of 350-plus local rides. We would especially like to congratulate all those who managed to complete the 100km, and hope you continue to ride and further challenge yourselves.

80 km to the east of berlin

the valley in front of the seelow heights were the battleground for the big set piece battle in the second world war in the european theater. it was on my list for year to pay that location a visit. yesterday was the day. i visited the museum and the ridge on which zhukov had his command post.

i will get back to seelow. i will work more on this piece of land and provideyou with information. so far our friends from wikipedia might help you.

after i went home i did my first ever stand development. it turned out very gritty. i like it, even though i m sure that it can look better and that i will work on it.
